CHICKEN TINOLA RECIPE







Tinola Ingredients

1/2 kilo chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 green papaya, quartered
4-5 cups rice water (2nd washing)
1/2 cup young sili leaves
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp ginger strips
2 tbsp patis

Tinola Procedure
1. Saute garlic and ginger until brown. Add onion. When onion is wilted, add chicken. Stir for 3 minutes, then pour in patis.
2 Cook for another 3 minutes, then add 1 cup of rice water. Cover and simmer. When chicken is half-cooked, add papaya. Pour in the remaining rice water.
3. Cover and simmer until chicken and papaya are cooked. Add sili leaves. Let boil for 2 minutes. Serve hot.
