STEAMED MILLED CORN GRITS (KANIN NA MAIS)






INGREDIENTS:

3 cups milled corn grits #10 or #12

3 cups water

PROCEDURE:

1.) Boil the water into the pot, in a medium heat.

2.) Pour the corn grits.

3.) When the corn is boiling, turn the heat down to medium low and cover the pot.

4.) After the corn grains have been cooking for a few minutes, check for holes or “craters.”

5.) When you see the holes or craters, cover the pot and turn the heat to low.

6.) Simmer it for another 15 minutes.

7.) Serve it hot.
