CASSAVA SUMAN INGREDIENTS
2 cups grated cassava
1 cup thick coconut milk
1 cup young coconut, grated
3/4 cup sugar
wilted banana leaves for wrapping, cut into preferred size
CASSAVA SUMAN PROCEDURES
1. Over medium heat, cook cassava and coconut milk until they form a thick mixture.
2. Add sugar and grated coconut. Remove from heat.
3. Put about 2 tbsp of the mixture on a banana leaf. Wrap tightly to make each suman, either in the shape of a square or a roll.
4. Steam the suman for about 15 minutes, or until each one is firm when touched.
